At Timba Floors & Boards, we are committed to reducing waste, and are working towards implementing stricter environmental standards in many areas of the business. We are doing this to ensure we are reducing our ecological footprint on the world.
Working with our worldwide manufacturing and logistics partners, our products already use 100% recyclable materials in our packaging. We also use the most energy-efficient transport methods to ensure we reduce the amount of greenhouse gases we release into the earth's atmosphere.
To ensure our products are as sustainable as possible, our raw materials are purchased from well-managed and sustainable forests that are compliant with global standards which include FSC® and EUTR.

FSC®
FSC® or the Forest Stewardship Council is an independent, non-profit organisation that works to protect and maintain the world's forests'. The FSC addresses mismanagement of our forests, exploitation of workers and provides ecological sustainability to ensure that the natural benefits are maintained for our future generations. Regular and consistent checks are carried out to ensure that these values and ideals are maintained.
United Kingdom Timber Regulation (UKTR)
Timba Floors & Boards are fully compliant with the United Kingdom Timber Regulation (UKTR). The UKTR legislation aims to reduce illegal logging of forests around the world. Both flooring manufacturers and suppliers must consider all responsibilities regarding the adhering to the values of UKTR as Illegal logging can have severe environmental, economic, and social impacts. The process of UKTR is demonstrating the chain of custody from the forest all the way to your floor.
